Whitney Wilson has practiced law in Louisville, Kentucky since 2004.  Her practice at Elder Law of Louisville is focused solely on Elder Law, which includes VA Benefits Planning, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning, Guardianship, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives, Trusts, Trust Administration and Probate.  She is admitted to practice law in the State of Kentucky and is accredited by the VA to assist veterans with claims for benefits.
 
In the Louisville, KY area, Whitney is an active member of the Louisville Bar Association (LBA), participating in the Estate & Probate Section and Disability Section.  She is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Metro Louisville.  State-wide, Whitney is actively involved with the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA).  She is the Immediate Past Chair of its Elder Law Section and is a member of the Probate & Estate Section, serving on its Legislative Committee.  She is also a member of the Kentucky Guardianship Association (KGA).  Nationally, Whitney is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Academy of Special Needs Planners, and Elder Counsel.
 
Whitney also writes about Elder Law topics.  She is a contributing author of the Elder Law book published by West as part of its Kentucky Practice Series.  She provided and updates its VA Benefits chapter.  She also co-authored an article with her law partner, Eileen Walsh, entitled, "Paying for Long Term Care Without Medicaid" to be published by NAELA.  Whitney routinely speaks at the local, state and national level on Elder Law topics, including at the KBA, LBA, UK/CLE, and for national legal seminar companies.

Practicing elder law has given us the opportunity to focus on the needs of a sector of society we want to serve, and practice law in a wide variety of settings. We offer comprehensive and holistic legal advice for all of your Kentucky and Indiana elder law concerns. This area of law includes Medicaid Planning , V.A. Benefits, Special Needs Planning, and Estate Planning. Our office in the heart of St. Matthews in Louisville, KY offers free parking and is handicap accessible. We can visit you in your home, or a hospital or nursing home facility if you cant come to our office.

We have years of experience in the area of elder law and estate planning, which has given us the opportunity to practice in wide variety of other areas, including litigation, business, contracts, and real estate. Our backgrounds and knowledge helps us help our clients.

Our families are here in Louisville, Kentucky, and some of them have had health care problems. We know how difficult it can be to make some of the decisions that people have to make when their health isnt as good as it used to be.

Elder Law of Louisville (formerly Walsh & Wilson, PLLC) was established in 2004 and has grown every year in order to keep up with the changes in this ever-expanding field of law. Even with all the changes, one thing always remains constant, we provide counseling and advice in a kind, caring and patient manner.
