SI Elder Law, LLC

Attorney Tiffanny H. Sievers is the owner of SI Elder Law. Tiffanny started SI Elder Law in response to the complex issues facing the elder and their need for quality care and financial options. Tiffanny will design estate plans either for traditional estate planning needs or estate protection through different payor sources. Specifically, she files VA Aid and Attendance Applications, Medicaid Applications, and coordinates with Medicaid audits and appeals. Tiffanny also handles probate and guardianship cases, and regularly appears in court representing clients. Tiffanny has focused on elder law for several years. Before practicing elder law she practiced Plaintiffs Workers Compensation and Plaintiffs Personal Injury in Springfield and Marion, Illinois. Tiffanny is a certified mediator, licensed to practice law in Illinois and before the Department of Veterans Affairs. She is an active member of the Jackson and Williamson County Bar Associations. Tiffanny is committed to staying abreast of current laws, rules and regulations governing the elderly, and attends many state and National conferences. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She is the past-president of the Illinois Chapter of NAELA and the Vice Chair of the Young/New Attorney Section of NAELA. She has also published legal articles in the area of Elder Law. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science and minors in History and Pre-Law at Eastern Illinois University. She received her Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she was a member of the Southern Illinois Inn of Court and the Student Bar Association. Tiffanny has always loved the elderly. While growing up, she participated in her churchs elderly outreach program that went to a local nursing home twice a month. While there, Tiffanny would sing hymns and visit with the elderly. Additionally, Tiffannys grandmother suffered from Alzheimers disease for nine years. During Tiffannys teenage years, it was difficult for her to watch her grandmother struggle and suffer with Alzheimers disease. During law school, Tiffanny focused on her love of the elderly by taking Trusts and Estate and an Aging and Law class that focused on Medicare, Medicaid, and Long Term Care for the elderly. Tiffanny also wrote her senior thesis on supportive living facilities. As you can see, Tiffanny has developed a passion for assisting the elderly. She and her husband, Chris, currently live in Marion, Illinois, with their son, Daily, daughters, Savannah and Maria, and dog, Monopoly. Tiffanny and her husband are trained weather spotters and weather enthusiasts. In her free time, Tiffanny enjoys spending time with her extended family in central Illinois and in-laws in Minnesota.
