Curran Estate Law
I was born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. I am a 5th generation attorney. I graduated from The Hill School '84, Tulane University '88 and Dickinson School of Law '91. I practiced business law in Pottsville for seven years and served on the board of Minersville Bank. In 1998, I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio for eight years where I was in-house General Counsel for two different technology companies.
Tired of litigation and pouring over contracts and bylaws, I was yearning for more one-on-one contact with my clients. I transitioned to Estate and Elder Law to realize this more purposeful career in assisting families achieve their objectives. My time and knowledge spent on bank boards and working with companies and investors has given me a strong knowledge of finances. Estate planning is more than just the documents, it is a team process, that includes working with financial advisors and tax advisors to ensure that the documents we produce work. I have a strong commitment to my clients that their plans will work the way they are intended to work.
I am a member of Wealth Counsel, the premier nationwide Estate Planning Lawyer group that provides state-of-the-art tools, training and support resources to lawyers so that they can provide the highest quality service to their clients. I am also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Berks County Bar Association, The Berks County Estate Planning Council, Berks Elder Network as well as other community groups.
I am married to and work side by side with my wife of 22 years, Georgina Anderson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and together we have four children, Patrick, Lucy, Molly and Jack and live in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. I like to spend time with my family, supporting my children in their various sports and other activities (baseball is a favorite) and cultivating my garden.
