Melanie B. Holliman (formerly Melanie B. Bradford) is a partner of Bradford & Holliman LLC.   Ms. Holliman practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and gift tax planning, asset protection, Medicaid and nursing home planning, VA benefits, probate, Social Security Disability, special needs trusts/planning, and business and commercial law.

Melanie B. Holliman earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, in Birmingham, Alabama. While in law school, she was a member of the Cumberland Law Review. The faculty of Cumberland School of Law selected her from the top ten percent of the class to be a member of Curia Honoris.

She is a member of the Alabama State Bar the Alabama State Bar Section of Elder Law where she served the Section as Secretary, Vice President, President, and on the Board of Directors. She is a member of the American Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, American Association of University Women, Kiwanis, and other civic organizations. Melanie B. Holliman is licensed to practice law in Alabama, before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama, and the U.S. Tax Court. She also is accredited by the VA Administration and practices before the Social Security Administration.

Firm Description

For 12 years, I have exclusively focused my law practice on estate planning and elder law issues such as asset protection trusts, planning for long term care, and special needs trust planning for individuals with disabilities or the families of individuals with disabilities.  I also assist families with Medicaid Planning when skilled nursing home care becomes a reality.
