Atty. Marilyn Toland has been an advocate for senior citizens since 1991. Her firm provides seniors and their families with the information and the support they need to make informed choices. She employs both technical skill to identify and address clients' legal issues and awareness of family dynamics to effectively represent each client's interests. The Toland Law Firm has offices in Hamden and Waterbury, Connecticut.

Marilyn received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Fisk University and her Juris Doctor from the Yale Law School. Marilyn is a member of the Executive Committees of the Connecticut Bar Association's (CBA) Estates and Probate section and Elder Law section. In addition, she serves on the CBA Professional Ethics Committee. In 2007, Marilyn was selected by her colleagues as a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, an honor that recognizes legal skill and service to the community and the profession.

Currently Marilyn serves on the Board of Directors of Connecticut Community Care, Inc. and on the Board of Managers of The Mary Wade Home, an elder care community. Marilyn is active in several community organizations including the Board of Trustees at Church of the Redeemer (UCC) and Past President of the Board of Directors for Christian Community Action, Inc.
