Kathleen D Tetreault
Disability Planning Partners
After graduating summa cum laude from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (and a minor in Theatre), Kathleen went straight to law school with the goal of learning everything she could about disability law.
In 2013, Kathleen graduated from Western New England University at the top of her class and was the recipient of the Norman Prance Award, an honor bestowed upon the student demonstrating the highest academic and personal achievement. She was also honored by her fellow classmates, who selected her as the student commencement speaker. In her speech, Kathleen shared her thoughts on the importance of knowing when to lean on others for support and when to take up the torch and lead.
Prior to co-founding Disability Planning Partners with Claudia, Kathleen had the distinct honor of clerking for two Judges on the Connecticut Appellate Court. She also served as a special education attorney, advocating for the rights of students with disabilities within the school system. Kathleen later expanded her passion for disability planning into the realm of elder law and estate planning. She is an active member of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and serves as the Co-Chair of the Elder Law Committee through the Young Lawyers Section.
In her work with Disability Planning Partners, Kathleen seeks to help individuals of all ages and levels of need to respond to present challenges, prepare for future needs, and to rest more readily with a newfound peace of mind.
