Keystone Elder Law P.C.
When I was 16, I started my first job as a receptionist and greeter at an elder care facility in my hometown. I continued to work at the facility throughout my four years at Penn State University’s Abington campus. While working there, I had the honor of getting to know many of the facility’s residents, and unfortunately, I saw that many of the residents did not have any estate planning, nor did they understand the Medical Assistance process. In addition, I often worried because many of the residents did not have anyone who could help them with their legal issues. After graduating from Penn State Abington with High Distinction, I decided to go to law school to learn more about elder law and truly become an advocate for the elderly.
I graduated from The Penn State Dickinson School of Law in May 2010 in the top 15 percent of my class which led to my membership in The Woolsack Honor Society. I have also been recognized for my advocacy skills by The Order of Barristers National Honor Society. During law school, I was on the National Appellate Moot Court Team and was able to gain practical experience by working in the law school’s Elder Law and Consumer Protection Clinic. I am a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). In addition, I am an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
In 2015, I am proud to have earned a Master’s in Elder Law (LL.M.) graduating with distinction from Stetson University College of Law, whose Elder Law advanced degree is nationally recognized and respected. Also in 2015, I was awarded the distinction of Select Lawyer in the category of Estate Planning, Administration and Probate Law by a peer survey of legal professionals.
As an associate attorney at Keystone Elder Law P.C., I focus on estate planning, estate administration, and Life Care Planning. I am very proud and excited to be part of the Keystone Elder Law P.C. team because Keystone uses Life Care Planning to maintain and enhance our client’s quality of life. At Keystone, I am able to fulfill my dream of practicing elder law and helping seniors and their families.
After law school, I decided to stay in Central Pennsylvania because I value the closeness of the community in Cumberland County. I enjoy sharing knowledge through presentations for a variety of continuing education programs, professional organizations, and community groups.
Residing in Carlisle, I am married with one son. My husband is also an attorney and alumnus of Penn State Dickinson School of Law. Outside of work, I am busy with family and friends enjoying knitting, traveling, golf, and reading.
