Erica A. Skerl received her Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2000 and her Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from the University of Akron School of Law in 2007. Ms. Skerl is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association, the Akron Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Ms. Skerl works in the firms non-litigation department where she focuses her practice in the areas of elder law, Medicaid planning, wills, probate, trusts, guardianships, real estate, corporate planning, and tax. Ms. Skerl has experience in planning estates of all sizes and works with the client to develop an appropriate, individualized plan. Ms. Skerl also helps families navigate through the complicated Medicaid laws when their loved one enters into a long term care facility. Ms. Skerl also helps families settle their loved ones estate at death in a compassionate, efficient, and cost effective manner.

Ms. Skerl served as adjunct professor at the University of Akron School of Law teaching Legal Writing and Research. Currently, Ms. Skerl sits as the Vice President on the Board of Trustees at Choices, A Community Center which, is a non-profit in Akron, Ohio that helps those with mental illnesses and addiction.
